Decay photographs are always so interesting! This particular photo is actually of Power Plant Tank Containment Rust in, of all places, Antarctia! It makes me wonder whether all that white is ice or oxidation! In any case, photographs of decay such as mold, rust, etc. always have some of the most brilliant colors, textures and surfaces. It’s the kind of thing a photographer simply can’t stage, but will always make an impression. There seems to be fewer and fewer opportunities for this kind of photograph as more things are made from decay and corrosion resistant materials. Still, there is a lot of stuff in disrepair in this world, and photography is a chance to find beauty in it. This photo was published by Eli Duke.
