I love the composition of these oil drums, and all the reflections of the water, and textures and warm colors of the rust. Although I must admit I find it a bit disturbing that such a scene can exist at all – who knows what’s in those drums? It could be some kind of nasty chemical or waste. And they appear to just be on the ground, exposed to the elements, without any drum containment pallets or berms or any kind of spill control. The erosion makes for lovely art, but scenes like this make me kind of afraid for the environment. This photograph was published under creative commons by Josh (no last name given.)
