Heh. You don’t usually find a lot of artistic photos in the field of fuel tank containment or even just any kind of containment tanks. But this one blew me away. It’s really gorgeous. I love all of the contrasts going on – both the striking light/dark contrast, but also the contrasts of shapes and textures. I mean, you have the organic shapes of the tanks contrasted with the hard edges of the pipes, stairs and railings, not to mention the implied horizon line of the field. You also have the rough texture of the grass and trees contrasted with the smooth texture of the tanks and pipes. It’s just all-around a gorgeous composition, and credit goes to photographer Wes Peck for the lovely capture.
