Capturing New York

This photograph captures the very essence New York–there’s no doubt about that. I just love how the Taxi is in sharp focus, and the street, buildings, signs and people are all blurred, but not so much that we can’t tell what they are. That is sort of what it’s like to BE on a street in New York. The thing closest to you is what you focus on, but there is literally just so much going on around you that it sort of registers in your mind as a blur. It really is a fantastic piece of street photography; It captures the feeling of actually being there. The photographer is Stephan Vereno, ein Deutscher der ins 2012 New York besucht!
