Remember to VOTE Today!

Today’s creative commons photo was chosen with thanks to Daniel Parks, not just because it’s a great photo with great composition, but also to remind you to vote today in the United States! If you’re not sure where or how to vote, click here and select your state for help! I’ve heard a lot of people say that their vote does not make a difference, or that they do not like either candidate. Believe it or not, even if you are voting write-in or 3rd party for president, your vote does influence the future. A good example is the 1992 and 1996 elections when Ross Perot of the Independent and Reform parties respectively won so many votes that the Republican party adopted some of his ideas. Voting 3rd party is the best way to let your preferred party know that they’ve lost your faith in them – it speaks volumes more than not voting at all. Additionally, even if you don’t have a solid opinion on the presidential election, local representatives have a very direct influence on policy and are worth your time to investigate. Please, remember to VOTE today!
