Racing Cars are Great Focal Points

Those advertisements on the side of the car might not inspire me to buy a power drill from Bosch or knives from Klein tools, or even Michelin tires, but they sure do make the car a more interesting focal point for photography! I mean, there is so much going on on it, between the endorsements and the body design and the painting and the mud, the car as a subject is literally the perfect contrast to the flat, boring terrain of a racetrack.  It’s no wonder that racing photos are so engaging – it’s almost like low hanging fruit. Well, they’re low hanging fruit after you perfect taking and framing photos quickly, and have a camera capable of those kinds of shutter speeds! This photo is by Jeffrey Keeton.
