Primary Focus

train lines
Lit up for a brand display, these lights represent New York City subway lines. Rather than the typical swirling, curving, and crossing of lines, these all stand tall and perpendicular to one another. The angle of the shot has letters going from the upper left to the middle right, filling the top third of the frame nicely. We get a silvery shine off the rounded button-like fixtures, but the real light comes from the neon tubing directing our eyes upward. This photograph is very focused on the primary, both in colors and shapes.
