Boxes to the Sky

anodizing
This photo of stacked boxes shows off “Bloom,” a tower in Tokyo designed by Pip Horne Studios. The surface of the structure consists of aluminum pieces that have undergone custom anodizing to increase durability and UV resistance. It also gave the uniform unique blue-gray sheen that is so aesthetically-pleasing.

The angle of this photograph is particularly notable – giving the tower the appearance of going on forever. The diagonal section in the middle foreground receives the sharpest focus, shooting our sights to the sky as we climb each step of the structure. The natural light glinting onto the aluminum helps highlight each section, breaking out the tower’s intricate design.

Thanks to mhiguera (full name not given) for posting this photo to creative commons. Amazing composition!
