Summer Star

ferris wheel
It looks like the perfect night for a fair. Chris McClanahan took this photo on a summer evening in Kennesaw, Georgia. I am impressed that Chris was able to get a clear shot of a ride that is always in motion, and at night, no less!

The skies are almost entirely cloudless, with a fantastic indigo glow. It is the perfect background for this ferris wheel and its multi-colored lights, cycling through their flashing pattern. They have illuminated the ride’s structure, showing off the steel beams and wires crossing at many angles like a spiderweb. The star-shaped design with bulbs aglow makes this a magical sight, like a comet bursting from the frame.

Thanks for sharing with creative commons, Chris!
