Craning Into Focus

paper cranes
Suspended in the forest, it is almost like these paper cranes have taken flight. The bold, saturated colors are fantastic in this photograph. We are able to see the natural world in layers, all highlighted by the bright blue sky. Held in primary focus is the top crane, its long, slender neck facing the lens and lighted to show off the crisp folds in its body. I like how the gold crane is in the center of the frame, yet is not the focus. Our eyes see it, but take in the composition as a whole.
