Full of Curiosities

medical plastic molding
In the middle of California wine country lies what appears to be a barn-turned-museum. I don’t know if the faded sign painted on the wood still tells us of the contents, but I’d like to think it does. It makes the building full of curiosities to me. What type of medical discovery (or discoveries) are we talking here? Frankenstein or the use of medical plastic molding in open heart surgery devices? The porthole windows, dirt road, and overall desolate landscaping give me a much more Mary Shelley feeling. Just to make it fit into the area, a small vine of grapes clings tightly to the low-budget fence, and that makes me chuckle a smidge.

Thank you to David Berry for capturing this shot and sharing under creative commons. We love seeing new places!
