Metallic Fingers

desert wind
Somewhere in the middle of the desert between Phoenix and Austin, Kris Krug found this immense burst of color. To see it feels like an oasis for the eyes. The blue expanse of sky soothes while metallic fingers dance in the sunshine as if they are tickling the air.

The saturation levels are high, but work perfectly in a shot like this. It serves to bring out the details just a little more; making any deviance from tones of sandy tan that much more appreciated. The framing also heightens the composition. It feels like we are looking through the lens ourselves, coupled with the sensation of scorching heat.
