Push It

push pin
In a vast sea of bulletin boards covered with rusty staples and yellowing shreds of yesterday’s news stands a translucent green push pin. It stands proudly, waiting to hold word of the next important meeting or apartment for rent. While the pages have been cleared, it has remained, which got the attention of photographer Quinn Dombrowski.

The vertical focus plays up the tattered edges of paper, all lined up and stacked in a semi-orderly fashion, one on top of another. It also punches a nice glimmer of light through the push pin’s plastic, while blurring the photo’s edges into a light glow. This photo should be both familiar and nostalgic to anyone who has spent time on a college campus. Thank you for sharing with creative commons, Quinn!
